Interested renters contact you directly through the listing form. Reply to whoever suits you and agree on terms.

Once agreed, the renter pays the monthly fee. No commission on HorseRent — only the listing plan if you choose a paid one.

Use the listing form to introduce yourself and ask questions. You can ask to visit the horse in person before deciding.

Set duration, fee and conditions directly between yourselves. For rent-to-buy, part of the monthly fee is deducted from the final purchase price.

What is rent-to-buy?
A formula that protects both the owner and the renter. Try the horse for months, then decide whether to buy at a reduced price.

Receive a guaranteed monthly fee for the entire duration
Sell the horse to someone already attached to it, who knows it
If the renter doesn't buy, the horse comes back to you
No risk: everything defined in the initial contract

The Base plan is completely free: you can post 1 listing with photos and price. Paid plans (from €9.90/month) offer more listings, increased visibility and advanced features.
Does HorseRent take a commission on deals?›
No. HorseRent earns only from listing plans and boosts. Negotiations between owner and renter are free and private.
Do I need to register to post?›
Yes, you need an account to post. Registration is free and requires only email and password.
Can I list the same horse for rent and for sale?›
Yes. A listing can have multiple types: monthly rental, rent-to-buy and sale at the same time.
What happens if the horse gets injured during the rental?›
This depends on the contract you draw up between yourselves. HorseRent is not party to the rental contract — we recommend clearly defining responsibilities and insurance before starting.
What is the "Propose to us" route?›
It's a private channel: you send your horse's details to the AJ Sport Horses team, who evaluates whether to buy it or rent it out without posting a public listing. Ideal if you want discretion.
